Saturday, September 6th, our team had the honor and pleasure of participating in MeasureCamp Split, an event that gathers members of the regional digital analytics community. For those unfamiliar, MeasureCamp is not a typical conference. It’s an “unconference” – a day filled with knowledge, discussions, and networking, where the agenda is created on the spot by the participants themselves.
We returned to the office full of impressions, new ideas, and most importantly, confirmation that we’re moving in the right direction. Here are our key observations and the topics most discussed “under the pine tree” at the beautiful Split venue.
1. Unique “Unconference” Format: Unfiltered Knowledge
The first thing that impresses any new attendee is the format. There are no pre-defined speakers or topics. In the morning, you’re faced with an empty session board, and participants propose the topics they want to discuss or hear about. Within just an hour, the board fills with dozens of interesting sessions, ranging from technical deep dives to strategic debates.
This format fosters open and honest knowledge-sharing. There are no sales pitches – only pure passion for data and a genuine desire to solve the real problems we all face.
2. Main Themes and Our Key Insights
Although there were many different sessions, several topics stood out as particularly pressing in the world of digital analytics:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): GA4 is no longer “the new thing” but the standard. Discussions have shifted from basic implementation to advanced techniques: server-side tagging for greater control and accuracy of data, and conversion modeling in a cookieless world.
- Cookieless Future and the Importance of First-Party Data: This was an unavoidable topic. The “end of third-party cookies” forces a paradigm shift. Discussions centered around the best strategies for collecting and activating first-party data. The emphasis was on building trust with users and managing consent transparently through Consent Mode.
- AI in Analytics and Marketing: Artificial intelligence is no longer just a buzzword. We saw concrete examples of how AI tools help speed up data processing, detect anomalies and trends, and automate reporting. The conversation focused on how AI can free analysts from repetitive tasks and allow them to focus on strategic thinking.
3. What makes MeasureCamp special?

The chance to chat over coffee with top experts from Croatia and the region, share a problem you’re working on, and instantly receive several different solutions – this is priceless. The energy, passion, and willingness to help are what make this community so strong.

Even though in our daily work we may be competitors, at MeasureCamp we’re all part of the same mission: raising the level of knowledge and expertise across the entire market.
